I am Katie Jane Goulah (she/her), a fine art photographer based in New York City. I have been a professional photographer for 15 years.

My work is inspired by found light, the deep colors in the works of Johannes Vermeer and Frans Hals, and finding quiet moments amidst chaos. I was given my first camera at 13, and it was love at first click. I shoot both digital and analog, and as a teenager, I spent many hours in my school’s darkroom enchanted by the magic of developing my own photographs.

Aside from photography, I dabble in gardening, painting, quilting, writing, and baking. I love thrift shopping, musical theater, and reading as much as possible.

I am married to John, and we live in Harlem with our eleven-year-old identical twins, a Portuguese Water Dog that hates water named Nova, and about 50 house plants.
